Beatnik Filmstars: A Lo-Fi 'Indie Rock' group based in Bristol, England. The band refused to be put in any one genre of music, and changed their sounds with each release.

They released many discs on many labels such as No-Life, La-Di-Da, Slumberland and Merge.

They recorded Five sessions for John Peel.
